Effective

My instruction is right on target.

I begin each project by asking, "What do learners need to DO?"  I place learners in a role that requires them to make decisions, apply what they are learning, and observe the consequences of their choices.  I support learners with frequent feedback, hints, and supplemental references.

Examples from my past projects include:

  • In a course about targeted biologic agents used to treat cancer, learners must choose the appropriate treatment when a patient experiences adverse side effects

  • In a biostatistics course, learners interpret graphs from recent oncology studies

Nancy was, without a doubt, our most gifted instructional designer…. Elegant is a word that comes to mind related to her products.
